    • Al-Iqama: The Call to Commence Prayer
    The iqama is given just before beginning the Salah. It is recited quickly with a staccato rhythm.

    Allâhu akbar Allâhu akbar

    ash-hadu al-lââ ilâha illa-llâh

    ash-hadu al-lââ ilâha illa-llâh

    ash-hadu anna muhammadan rasûlu-llâh

    ash-hadu anna muhammadan rasûlu-llâh

    hayya ‘ala-s-salâh hayya ‘ala-s-salâh

    hayya ‘ala-l-falâh hayya ‘ala-l-falâh

    qadå qamati-s-salâh qadå qamati-s-salâh

    Allâhu akbar, Allâhu akbar

    lââ ilâha illa-llâh

     

    		 Allâh is Greatest! Allâh is Greatest!

    I bear witness that there is no God but Allâh

    I bear witness that there is no God but Allâh

    I bear witness that Muhammad is His Messenger

    Come to the prayer. Come to the prayer.
